More Than Words®

BubbleBee will be hosting More Than Words® program for parents. Parents and other immediate family members are the people who know the children best and play a role of first teachers, guardians, as well as set up a sample for the child to follow. Children learn how to communicate with others at home, by playing and participating in a family routines, meals and chores.

More Than Words® is a family-focused program that trains parents to help their children under six years of age learn to interact and communicate using everyday opportunities that occur naturally during various daily activities. The unique program was developed by The Hanen Centre (www.hanen.org) and is offered to parents only by a Hanen Certified Speech – Language Therapist who has received specialized training from The Hanen Centre.

BubbleBee's Speech Therapist Ms. Agnieszka Debowska is fully trained and certified in It Takes Two To Talk® The Hanen Program® for Parents of Children with Language Delays and More Than Words® The Hanen Program® for Parents of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Parents and caregivers who will participate in the program, will learn to communicate with your child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (or related social and communication difficulties) in a way that will be enjoyable for both of them, will know how to build up your child's understanding of language, enhance his or her social skills (interacting with other people, making friends, sharing attention and emotions etc.), as well as improve the baby's play abilities.
